David...

The name David fits me pretty well, I think.  David was King of Israel a few thousand years ago.  He was a talented musician and songwriter, a hard worker, an emotional man, and a great warrior.  He was a loyal person, and one who inspired loyalty in others.  He knew who he was and where his priorities stood, so he didn't need to follow the crowd to win friends.  Instead,people looked up to him and followed him because of who he was and what he accomplished.  And though he made his share of mistakes, through it all he was someone who sincerely wanted to do what was right and what God wanted him to.

I admit I've never been a king or a warrior, but I do like to believe there's a bit of David that lives on through me...
