I'm rarely right about first impressions.  Which is why I like to (and should!) take my time getting to know someone.

But it's also why I've fallen victim from time to time to those who would choose to take advantage of others.  I guess some folks would say I'm still a bit naive, but I prefer to give everyone I meet the benefit of the doubt - I'll generally trust people until they give me reason not to.

And, truth is, after all this time and even with the mistakes I've made, I still prefer to give each person a chance.  Because it's only by taking chances with people that you get to discover some very special relationships...
